Relief is an underwhelming feeling. It’s a feeling that the grip around your chest is gradually loosening. You can breath easy, muscles become less tight, thoughts start fading. Whatever battle you were fighting or whatever challenge you were facing is behind you now. The worst is over and the best is yet to come.
I am relieved that I’m off for 3 days…work was really tough this weekend. I’m relieved that I get to do yoga and meditate today, and that I have no plans, no commitments, or things I actually HAVE to do today. I get to relax and unwind. Yes.
This is what being relieved feels like to me. This is one of my favorite feelings.
