Week 3: Eye Candy for the Modern Hippie

In the nature of keeping things interesting, I thought this week’s Wacky Wednesday should be entirely for the people.  My idea of fashion has changed and conformed throughout the years, as well as my confidence in expressing my own personal style.  I’ve always leaned more towards the “boho” side which incorporates easy, breezy clothes that flow, but don’t necessarily give away your curves or lack thereof (in my case).  It comes to no surprise that I’m a total hippie, so it’s only natural for me to gravitate towards those looks.

I have a friend I met down here in Tampa who is very much involved with high-fashion, has been to runway shows, and definitely knows her sh*t when it comes to what’s hot and what’s not.  She been one of my inspirations for not only the fashion portion of my blog, but also for my newer-found sense of style.  I’ve managed to take bits and pieces of her style and merge them with mine.  This is partially why Wacky Wednesday was born in the first place!  Hippie, flowing, boho meets runway fashion….what?!

For this week, I’m going to pick some of my eye candy outfits from my favorite places to shop.  I’m also going to put some outfits with funky patterns that I normally wouldn’t even look twice at, but I want to see what you guys think.  How far are you willing to go when it comes to mismatching?  Does the limit not exist?  It’s easy to be confident behind a computer screen, but I’ve definitely gotten a few deer-in-the-headlights looks when my husband and I go out to shoot for Wacky Wednesday that make me question whether my outfit works or whether I’m simply bat-sh*t crazy.

So, with that said, what do you guys think of these pieces?  Which ones would you put together to make a bold statement outfit?

I’ll be patiently waiting for these beauties to go on sale.  How are you going to make a statement this week?
